Update!

In the last 16 weeks I have (in no particular order):

-Started a new job

-Worked on 8 different archaeological sites (prehistoric and historic)

-Stayed in Salt Lake City, Cedar City, Tooele, and Delta

-Gone to 2 rodeos and a demolition derby

-Worked 6 days a week for 9 hours a day

-Been on the PPC

-Hiked Angels Landing in Zion National Park (pics to come)

-Seen the petroglyphs in Parowan Gap (again...)

-Stayed in 5 different hotels

-Played Nintendo

-Had a girls night

-Worked in 40 to 107 degree weather

-Watched 3 seasons of X-Files

-Backfilled a site for 7 hours straight

-Lost Fineas

-Been woken up by a screaming hooker

-Gone to Park City to ride the Zipline, Coaster, and Alpine Slide

-Had a back spasm

-Been told that my hand writing is horrible

-Made some awesome friends

-Went wedding dress shopping in St George with Katey and Emily

-Learned how to analyze historic artifacts

-Dug a 2 by 1 down a meter in one day

-Won 14 dollars in nickels while playing poker

-Gone out to dinner more times then I care to remember

-Found more projectile points on a historic site then all the prehistoric ones combined

-Had a great birthday which consisted of dueling pianos and 4 attractive guys singing "Pretty Woman" to me

-Met my nephew Wall-E

-Made a Vegas trip to see my girls and party on the Strip with my co-workers

-Been offered a full time job with benefits... that's my way of telling you that I'm relocating to Cedar City

ENGAGED!

I got a fun phone call yesterday morning:

Me: "Hello!"

Katey: "I"M ENGAGED!" (which didn't sound anything like this... it was just a high pitched squeal... but she's my BFF so knew what was going on)

Me: "AHHH!" followed by a lot of jumping around my hotel room, which lasted for about 5 minutes.

I love this girl and I am so excited for her and her fiance!

AND I'm going down to Vegas next weekend to see Katey and my other hoho, Emily! Here's to getting through the week by looking forward to an awesome weekend!

Weekends in SLC

Lately, I've been working in SLC... you know what that means? I get to go here every weekend:

We got a day pass that allowed us to ride the Alpine Slide,

the Coaster,

and the ZipLine.

I love this palace... can I live here please?

4th of July

I know its a little late but I've been busy and tired... yes, I work 6 days a week in the 105 degree heat and I'm tired... happy, but tired.

I spent the 4th in the small town of Delta. What do you do in Delta on the 4th? This...

Go to the Delta Demolition Derby!

When we got to the Derby all the seats were taken. As a result we had to stand in the "splash zone" right up in the action.

After about 2 hours some of the seats cleared up and we got to sit in the stands. Here is the crew watching all the action!

Towards the end it started to rain... did we leave?! No way!

After about 4 hours of derby-ing we had a break and watched an awesome firework show.

Overall it was a great 4th! I love my country!
