HOA Drama and Walk Your Way for VOGM

This week was stupid busy and I am ready for a break! I attended (via Zoom) an HOA meeting for our properties in Orlando, Josh had to spend the night in a cheap motel because he had to be at work at 3:00 AM, I got my flu shot, Theo had a great week at school, I got my lashes filled, and we kicked off the second annual "Walk Your Way" on Sunday.

Theo has gotten in the habit of escaping from the padded area to the hardwood floor. I tried to block him, but he's too strong!

Our HOA failed to make quorum and we were not able to hold an election. Some people (none of whom ran themselves) were very upset about this. I think our current board is doing a fine job, so I'm not mad. The drama is just so entertaining. You'd think it was all a conspiracy!

I think Fall is finally here!

Look at our tree!

Theo also likes to hang out between the padded area and the coffee table. And then he gazes at his toys and whines about how far away they are.

The Dodgers put up a good fight, but they were eliminated from the Playoffs this week.

Josh is heading to Georgia in a week and he has been studying so hard!

I told Theo he looked cute and I wanted to take a picture of him. He was not into it!

Theo likes to steal diapers and smack them on the ground until they explode. It's quite and mess and he thinks it's hilarious!

Theo was so proud of himself for playing "PeekaBoo Barn" all by himself.

Theo always has to have his ball and music close by.

[Coming over to visit]

[I think he's bored with us]

Sunday, October 24th, kicked off the second annual "Walk Your Way" to raise awareness and funds for our VOGM family. That morning I ran 15 miles (one mile for every time Theo has been under anesthesia due to his brain aneurysm) to raise awareness for Theo, his fellow VOGM warriors, and all the angel warriors we have lost along the way. This aneurysm is dangerous and kills 1/3 of children who are diagnosed, another 1/3 live their lives with severe developmental issues, and the other 1/3 can have a good neurocognitive outcome.

Since there are only a handful of doctors around the world who are qualified to treat VOGM, it can make it very difficult for those who are less fortunate to get to a doctor and receive care. VOGM.org is raising money to aid those children. Through generous donations the organization has been able to get children from Uganda to doctors in Egypt to receive care and has been able to provide grants to those who need aid with lodging and travel.

Awareness is the key to survival and getting these kids and their families in touch with quality doctors is VOGM.org highest priority.

[I needed to harness the power of Rivs in order to run]

It was a hard run, but I made it!
