The biggest and best New Years news is that Theo started scooting! He can get around pretty well on the floor and is very motivated by his toys! We are so proud!
On Monday, January 4th, Theo started e-learning again. Hopefully this will only be for two weeks and then he will go back to in-person school on January 19th *fingers crossed*
One of his homework assignments was to draw a picture of something he got for Christmas. How did we do?!
On Tuesday, January 5th, Theo went to OT and then we spent some time on the computer watching his lessons and doing assignments.

On Wednesday, January 6th, Theo's PT came over and we put Theo in the crawler. It had been a while since he was in there, but he did really well! He held up his head and pushed with his feet.
When he got tired we took breaks.
That afternoon we drove down to Peoria to meet with the Orthopedic Surgeon. We drove through an area that had just been hit with an ice storm. It was gorgeous! And the roads were clear, so that made the drive even better.
Theo got x-rays of his hip before the surgeon came and spoke to us. He said he was very happy with how Theo is looking. We told him that Theo stands in his stander daily, does hands-and-knees, and recently started scooting! His hip is staying put and the surgeon doesn't want to see us for another YEAR! YAY!
On Thursday, January 7th, we made the long trek back to Peoria so Theo could go see his friends at St Judes. First he got his bloodwork done and then we went to get his ultrasound.
Theo always gets upset when the technician starts the ultrasound, but we brought his videos, so he calmed down after a few minutes.
[Look at that smile]
We then went to see Oncology and Hematology. They said that his bloodwork and ultrasound both look great and we'll see them again in three months. More good news!

[Theo loves to tickle Ms. Becca]
[Theo is still not sure if he likes Play-Doh]
Funny stuff that attempts to keep us sane:
I try not to get too political on my blog (right?), but January 6th, 2021 will go down in history as a very dark day. The riot at the Capitol building, hearing the Presidents speech, seeing those people enter that sacred building, hearing them shout "Hang Mike Pence," seeing them destroy offices, watching the videos of them hunting through the Capitol with zip-ties, seeing a man casually walking through the Capitol with the Confederate Battle Flag, and seeing all those "Camp Auschwitz" shirts (and other Nazi symbols) was all beyond horrifying. You are not Patriots, you are terrorist. We have a Constitution, respect it.
