Monday, December 18th:
This is the final week of school before Christmas! Every day the kids are supposed to wear something special for Spirit Week. Monday was "Lumberjack" and Josh sent Theo to school in his flannel PJ pants (he didn't notice the flannel long sleeve shirt in Theo's closet 🤣).
Josh got Theo on the bus, but right after Theo arrived at school Josh received a message from Ms. Jess. The school had no power and all the kids had to be sent home.
Josh went to the school, picked up Theo, and dropped off the Christmas gift bags for everyone.
That afternoon Josh took Theo to PT and he worked very hard.
Tuesday, December 19th:
Theo's school was able to get the power back on, so Josh sent Theo off on the bus in his "Candy Cane" shirt.
After school Theo and Josh went to PT/OT. Theo gave Ms. Becca, Ms. Cody, and Ms. Laura their Christmas gift bags. We very much appreciate them! Ms. Cody and Ms. Laura then helped Theo open his Christmas present. You would think he was being tortured. He wouldn't look at the box or really participate in the unwrapping.
[Eyes closed]
They got him a fun musical gift! We all know he will love it eventually!
After PT/OT they went to The Legacy Ranch for horseback riding lessons with Sherman and Kaylin. Josh said Theo did great and got to feed Sherman and apple!
I got home from my trip later that night. It's so good to be home!
Theo had four observable seizures today.
Wednesday, December 20th:
Today was "crazy socks" day at school. Theo wears his AFOs everyday and those are pretty crazy, so it counts, right?
Later that afternoon Ms. Jess came over to watch Theo, so Josh and I could go to the Lakers vs Bulls game at the United Center.
We sat in the front row of the Lexus Club level and got all the perks that came with it!
We ended up getting dinner at Honey Butter Fried Chicken and it was amazing! We even went back at half time and got the honey butter fries!
[We don't know how to take pictures]
[Josh assured me he was happy!]
LeBron and AD were both game time decisions, so I was really happy when they were warming up!
[Here we go!]
[Horace Grant in the house!]
The Lakers fought, but they couldn't pull it off in the end.
Bummer.
I went to a Chargers game an a Lakers game this year and both of my teams lost. Am I the problem?!
Theo had 11 observable seizures today.
Thursday, December 21st:
The next morning I put Theo's ugly sweater on and sent hime off to school. I then headed north to get my allergy shots. After school I took Theo to OT and he went on the big swing with Ms. Laura!
Theo had three observable seizures today.
Friday, December 22nd:
It was the final day before Christmas break, so Theo had an early out.
[Restocking the school for the New Year]
After school we all went to Floor and Decor to pick out tile for Theo's bathroom renovation.
[Before]
Theo had a great time zipping around the store while we looked at tile!
We decided to go with a dark grey for the shower and this white marble look for the rest of the bathroom. I think it'll look great! Construction starts on January 9th!
[More art from school]
Theo had five observable seizures today.
I've been working hard on our sibling trip to Japan in 2025. When I was with Luke we decided it would be a good idea to add in Hong Kong Disney and Shanghai Disney. Why not?! We are in the area, right?!
Here is our current Plan C:
I asked the guys what they wanted to see while we were in China (besides Disney) and Ryan said the Forbidden City. Well, that is in Beijing, so I looked into adding Beijing to the itinerary! We would need AT LEAST two days in Beijing to see the highlights. I sent the updated calendar and budget to the guys and we decided that it would be awesome to see Beijing, but it adds too much time and money to the already expensive and long trip.
Plan D:
I also have an alternative available just in case a trip over two weeks is out of the question. We'll call this Plan E:
As of right now it looks like Plan C is the plan! We are going to knock off four Disney Parks! All we will need is Paris to make it a sweep!
