Thanksgiving 2024

Monday, November 25th:

After Josh and I got Theo off to school on the bus we headed to Bass Pro Shops to do some Alaska shopping. Josh was able to find some great boots that were also on sale! YAY for early Black Friday deals!

After Bass Pro we headed to my favorite store, REI. We bought Josh a few more pairs of arctic thermals and some more wool socks. I think he's going to be very warm up on the North Slope!

After school I took Theo to OT with Ms. Laura. I decided to wait in the car during his lesson. Ms. Laura said that Theo was great and worked really hard!

Tuesday, November 26th:

After we got Theo sent off to school I attended a free lecture about finance and how to build a Excel spreadsheet for finance and investing. I was so interested in the lecture that I bought access to their finance class! I'm looking forward to learning more about finance and investing. Look for me on Wall Street in the next few years! 😆

Josh was able to get a hold of Brodee today! He sent Josh his Christmas wishlist and they chatted for a few minutes. Josh snapped a picture of him during their FaceTime. This is the only picture I have of Brodee from this year. He looks so much older!

After school we took Theo to PT with Ms. Cody and then to see Sherman. Theo was so tired that he fell asleep on Sherman and even started drooling. He works so hard and sometimes he just need a break! AND we increased his Epidiolex again on Monday, so that explains his sleepiness.

Wednesday, November 27th:

On Wednesday I woke up with a migraine. I took my new meds and went back to sleep. An hour later I woke up and the migraine was gone!

Theo didn't have school today and it was a bit chilly, so we stay indoors and played all day!

Thanksgiving:

I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving! We had pies from Crumbl, turkey from Cracker Barrel, scalloped potatoes from Costco, and stuffing from a box 😊

I tried to get some pictures with Theo, but he was being silly!

I just love him!

Long Weekend:

Over a year ago Josh signed up for a monthly Harry Potter village subscription. We only had a couple of pieces last Christmas. Over the last year we got a ton of pieces, but we didn't open them until this weekend.

We had so much fun opening all of the boxes and getting the village set up! It's so cute and I love it so much! So far we have 13 pieces and we think there are close to 50 you can get (they actually won't tell you how many there are or which ones you will be getting). I think we are going to get a few more and then cancel the subscription. Our giant table is already pretty full!

We got the rest of our indoor decorations put up and I got our front door done. All we need now are the outdoor lights, but that can wait a few more days!

[Sports AND Christmas!]

Josh got a Nintendo Switch on Black Friday, so he has something to do on the long flights to Alaska! We tried it out on Saturday and it was a lot of fun!

BYU had a pretty great season. Unfortunately they will miss the college playoffs, but it was fun to cheer them on this season!
