Monday, June 5th:
We started the day by greeting Luke, Andie, Porter, and Kenna (they arrived after most of us were in bed), then the kids went for a swim. Having a pool in the backyard is definitely the way to go!
We gave our dad his early Father's Day presents. We got him a custom wallet and two tickets to the 123rd PGA Golf Tournament at the LA Country Club in Beverly Hills! I will be going with him and we will have access to the Pacific Club on the 14th hole!
[Porter, Teagan, Cole, Kenna, Cason, and Theo]
After "June Gloom" burned off we all headed to the tide pools at Laguna Beach.

[Kenna, Teagan, and Kayleen]
We quickly found a bunch of crabs and small hermit crabs!
[Luke and Andie]
[Cole and Missy]
Cole was the bravest and picked up the most crabs. He claimed he only got pinched once!
[Missy and Ty]
[Hayden and Kayleen]
[Tyson and Ty]
Part of the group (lead by Ryan) went over to a larger rock.
The tide was starting to come in, so we all made our way back to dry land.
We went on a stroll along the cliffs before heading back to the house for a BBQ.
[All tuckered out after climbing on the rocks]
Ryan and I have a great group of friends from High School that we are still in touch with (via a text message group). Two of them, Adam and Drew, still live in southern CA. We invited them, their wives, and kids to a BBQ at the Van Dusen's house. Drew's family got sick, but Adam, Caitlin, and their two kids stopped by for a little bit. It was so nice to see Adam and to finally meet Caitlin and their kids! Back in early 2020 Josh and I made plans to go to Disney World and Universal Studios with Adam and Caitlin (and a few others in the High School group). We were supposed to leave on April 15, 2020. And you all know what happened. The entire world shut down. So we never got to go on our trip together and we've been trying to plan one ever since.
It was so nice to see them and hopefully we can get together again soon!
