CA Reunion - Part VIII: SoFi Stadium Tour

Tuesday, June 13th:

We spent today going to the pool, resting, and giving Theo his respiratory therapy. I called his doctor and he sent over some antibiotics to the local pharmacy. He also informed me to take Theo to the hospital if his oxygen levels got too low.

[Trying to keep Theo as upright and comfortable as possible]

[Papa is a good helper!]

Wednesday, June 14th:

Today Andie, Porter, Kenna, Luke, and Mom hung out at the house and pool while Dad, Luke, and I headed into LA.

We were going on a tour of SoFi Stadium!

We got our fancy badges, took a few pictures, and waited for the tour to start.

You can see the new Intuit Dome, home of the LA Clippers, being built in the distance.

[Stadium with the huge Infinity Screen]

Our tour guide, Owen, called us over and the tour began with us heading upstairs to the 6th floor, which is ground level! Owen told us that 80% of the seats are underground and the entire stadium was built 100 ft into the ground. This was to avoid a large profile since the stadium is only a few miles from LAX. We also learned that the Infinity Screen weights over 2 million pounds and if something goes wrong with the sound or screens the technicians have to use window washer platform that drops down from inside the Infinity Screen. He said due to the Infinity Screen there is not a bad seat in the entire stadium.

We got to sit in the VIP seats (cushioned, 2 inches wider, and more leg room) and then we walked through the Kinsey Myth of Absence Art Collection which features almost 100 pieces of art from black artist.

We then entered the Owners Club and it was gorgeous!

We exited the Owners Club and made our way to the lower levels.

There are four locker rooms (one for the Rams, one for the Chargers, and two for visitors) and two press rooms (one for each team).

[Rams Press Room]

We went into the Rams Locker room. I would have liked to see the Chargers, but I guess the Rams will do.

We then made our way to the end zone suites. Owen said they were the worst seats in the house but the catered food is "off the hook!"

Owen then took us into the tunnels where he passed us off to the hype man. This guy was there to get us hyped to do the tunnel run. When it was our turn we definitely got hyped and ran out of the tunnel to some super loud music!

Once we made it onto the field we were free to walk around, throw the footballs, try to kick a field goal, and take as many pictures as we wanted.

On our way out we stopped by the team store. I bought a pin to add to my collection. Go Chargers!

We then left the SoFi Stadium and headed deeper into LA.

We drove past the Intuit Dome and it's massive!

We made our way to the famous Olvera Street to get the best taquitos in the world!

😋😋😋

[Drinking the sauce!]

We then walked down Olvera Street, got a couple tacos, got stuffed churros, and then headed home.

The tour of SoFi was awesome and I can't wait to go to a Chargers game there!

After we got back we went to Golden Spoon!
