The next morning (May 7th) we woke up to THIS:
We packed our bags (but not sunscreen 😬) and headed to Stan's Donuts to get breakfast.
After eating our donuts we headed across the river and boarded our boat for the Architecture Boat Tour! I LOVE this tour! I've been on it multiple times and every time I do it there is a new building and new things to learn!
On Wednesdays and Saturdays during the spring the bridges will raise to let the sail boats through. It's such a cool thing to see!
After our 75 minute tour, we headed north and walked along the Magnificent Mile.

Ms. Laura (Theo's OT) suggested that we check out the Water Tower Place Mall. It's a huge seven story mall right by the Hancock Building.
[View from the top!]
We then hopped on the redline and headed north to Wrigley Field. We arrived just in time to sing "Take me out to the Ballgame" with Harry Caray and we made sure to shout "Root root root for the DODGERS!"
We then headed across the street to Smoke Daddy's BBQ and got some amazing pulled pork and Mac n cheese!
After lunch we got back on the red line and headed into the Loop. I got sick on the train and almost threw up, so we decided to swing by Walgreens to I could get some Dramamine before heading back to the condo for naps.
After naps we took an Uber to the Sears Tower. Unfortunately they would only let us use our city passes at 9:00 AM or 9:00 PM. Bummer. We decided to walk over to the Riverwalk instead of waiting two hours for our turn.
We then made our way to the LH Rooftop Bar. It is on the 21st floor and has a great view of the river.
After taking our pictures we walked over to Sushi-San for dinner.

May 8th:Happy Mother's Day
We slept in the next morning (Happy Mother's Day to us), packed our bags, and checked out of the condo at 10:00 AM.
We wanted some brunch, so we headed to Eggy's.
After breakfast we hopped on the Big Bus Hop-on-Hop-off Tour and headed to Navy Pier. We did some souvenir shopping and the girls bought gifts for their kids while I bought myself some chocolates 😋
We then hopped back on the bus and headed out on our tour. It was cold and windy, but it's still a great way to see a lot of the city.
We the hopped off the bus and went to the 94th floor of the Hancock building for our 360 view of the city.
The view isn't as good as the Sears Tower, but it was still a fun way to see Chicago!
We then went back to Brown Bag Seafood for one last meal. I got the lobster roll again! It's seriously SOOO good!
I then took Emily and Katey back to the airport for their 7:15 PM flight.
ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
I was so sad to see them leave, but I am so grateful that they took the time to come out here and see me. Let's not wait another three years to do this again! I just miss my hohos so much!
