Wednesday, August 20th:
I picked up some peso's from the bank and then Josh and Theo took me to a hotel close to the Midway airport so I could catch my 5:00 AM flight to Phoenix!
The Courtyard Chicago Midway Airport was recently renovated and my room was really nice!
I ordered Hangry Cluck for dinner (chicken fingers are my weakness!) and it was delicious!
Thursday, August 21st:
I was up EARLY, caught the shuttle to the airport, and got to my gate with time to spare. Luckily, the flight was very empty so everyone got their own row! I wasn't able to sleep very well on my three hour flight because I was freezing, but I managed to get a little rest.
I arrived in Phoenix and had two hours to kill before Emily and Katey's flight landed. I put on my headphones, turned on my audiobook, and made a few laps around the airport.
After Emily and Katey arrived (HoHo's reunited!) we went and got some food and then caught our short flight to Cabo!
We arrived in Mexico, went through customs and immigration, and then found our private SUV that would take us to the Garza Blanca Resort. This resort is family friendly, has five restaurants, multiple pools, and a spa.
We arrived at the Resort and were given a welcome beverage. Our room wasn't quite ready yet, so we made our way to the rooftop pool and bar area where we had a nice lunch.
[So happy to be here!]
[Full kitchen]

[King bedroom - my room]

[Balcony with hammock and table with chairs]
[Second bedroom]
[Mini bar in the second bedroom]
It was such a great day at the Resort!
[So happy to be here!]
After lunch we made our way to our room. We booked a two bedroom, ocean view suite and it was beautiful!
I think we are going to be very happy here for the next five nights!
After we got settled in Katey and Emily surprised me with some awesome birthday presents! They got me lightsaber chopsticks, a Yoda bookend, Death Star ice cube trays, a Baby Yoda Owala, AND a Mandalorian Sand Cloud towel! Thank you so much! I have the most amazing friends!
We then explored the Resort and went for a walk on the beach. The waves were pretty big and there was a red flag warning. The beaches are beautiful in Cabo, but swimming is not encouraged!
That night we went to dinner at NOI, an Italian restaurant on the rooftop. The food was delicious! Since we booked the "All inclusive" package all drinks and food are included.
Friday, August 22nd:
Our plan for today was to sleep in and then spend all day relaxing at the Resort.
[Hey look! My mom, Luke, and I are all in a line!]
We went and ate breakfast at the Blanca Blue, which in the morning is a buffet and at night it turns into a Mexican restaurant.
We spent the rest of the day relaxing by the pool, swimming, and eating delicious food.
For lunch we went to the Food Tuck on the beach. Katey and Emily told the staff that it was my birthday, so they brought me a piece of cake and some tequila shots!
That night we went to Bocados Steakhouse. The food was very good and of course they brought me another piece of cake!
It was such a great day at the Resort!
