Day 14: Monday, April 21st
We woke up early, put on our matching "Disney Bucket List" shirts, sent our luggage to the MiraCoast (luggage delivery within the resort is very easy), and took the monorail to Tokyo Disneyland!
[Goodbye to the Grand Chateau!]
We got in line with everyone else, but we were able to get in early with our "Happy Pass."
First ride of the day was, of course, Star Tours!
On Monsters Inc we all had to sit separately because we were ALL too tall (even me!)
We then used our fast passes to get on one of the coolest rides I've ever been on: The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast
The animatronics, the line, the songs, EVERYTHING was mind blowing! We will end up going on this ride a lot over the next few days!
The Tokyo Parks are know for their different flavors of popcorn and their popcorn buckets. Over our four days we tried:
Caramel, Soy Sauce & Butter, Milk Chocolate, Curry, Salt, Honey, Black Pepper, Strawberry Napoleon, Cheddar Cheese, Garlic-Shrimp, Roast Beef, and Buttered Scallops!

[Trying the honey popcorn]
It was a lot of fun to try all the flavors, but I'll take Garretts any day over any of the flavors here. I did like honey, milk chocolate, and pepper. But I don't feel like any of them were standout by any means.
It's A Small World...
...WITH GROOT!
Groot and other Marvel and Disney characters were scattered throughout the ride. It was fun to spot them all!
[Construction on Space Mountain]
Another perk of booking a Vacation Package is that you get a few fast passes everyday and a character meet and greet. We chose to meet Mickey!
[Yes, we are adorable!]
Remember some of the unique cultural things about Shanghai and Hong Kong Disneys? Well, here people wait on the street ALL DAY to save a spot for the parade. And I mean ALL DAY!
In the afternoon we went to use our fast passes for Splash Mountain. The Cast Members spotted Luke and Ryan even before we got in line and flagged us for a height check.
They took us to the front of the line and had them try to get on the ride...
ANNNDD... they couldn't fit. They did let me stay at the front and ride the ride while the guys waited.
It was fun to see the original Splash Mountain again, since they are changing all the ones at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom. I can't speak Japanese, but I still sang along!
[Perks of sitting in the front]
Since the guys were not able to use their Fast Passes we were given additional Fast Passes for Big Thunder Rail Road. Luckily, they fit on that one!
As we were getting off Beauty and the Beast (for the second time), Luke spotted Lou Mongello, who is a pretty well know Disney podcaster! He was a super nice and funny guy!
It was a VERY successful day at Tokyo Disneyland! We went on all the rides we wanted to go on (more than once), ate a lot of good food, and had some good laughs! Tonight we will be staying at the MiraCosta Hotel and then tomorrow we will be at DisneySea!
