Taltree Arboretum & Gardens

Just a few weeks before the wedding Josh and I went exploring and found the Taltree Arboretum & Gardens.

The Taltree area consists of walking trails, large bur oaks, a railway garden, large ponds full of birds, and gnome houses. Josh and I first went to the Railway Garden which was adorable!

The miniature world was so cute and detailed and very well done! We enjoyed walking around and waiting for the trains to pass by!

After the Railway Garden we headed out into the Arboretum. We walked along the Bluebird Trail (1.63 miles), the Cardinal Trail (0.62 miles), Owl Trail (0.51 miles), and the Heron Trail (0.28 miles). We saw a lot of different birds and trees including their signature Bur Oaks. The area was so beautiful!

Since we had such a rough winter and it was still cold a lot of the plants were not blooming yet. I guess that is a good thing for my allergies but it would have been fun to see some pretty colors!
