Week Seven of "Quarantine"

We had another great week staying home (and safe) during this pandemic. Theo had six Tele-therapy sessions and he didn't throw up once! YAY!

[This kid needs a haircut big time!]

[Working on vision]

[Sitting in his chair, playing with his robot, watching Poppy (Trolls), AND licking sweet potatoes off his hands]

[The more you know, right?]

[Classic Star Wars]

[Being "Super Strong" and showing off his curls]

[Getting a selfie with Theo is a little difficult]

["Mom, you are such a goober!"]

[For reals 😭]

Well, our Governor extended the “Stay at Home” for another 30 days, but he got sued by two lawmakers. The judge ruled in their favor, so we may be opening on May 1st. BUT THEN the Gov sued them back and now we are in limbo... I’m just staying at home for now

We have been FaceTiming with Josh every night. He has captured a few cute pictures of Theo and I:

[Kisses]

[Having a chat]

[Super Bear is so silly!]

Theo only rolls one way and does not scoot on his belly. But he does roll onto his side and do a "shimmy" to get to the toys he wants. This is great! Before, Theo's toys would run away from him and he wouldn't even be sad or try to go get them. Now, when they run away he will get upset and try to get to them. YAY! Keep going Theo!

[I went on my weekly solo grocery store trip this Sunday and when I came out of the store there was an Auntie Anne's in the parking lot! I couldn't resist!]

[FaceTime with Grandma Judy, Jessi, Ally, and Braxton]

[I told you it was a busy week!]

This week we added a few more things to Theo's weekly schedule. He is doing more work on the exercise ball, incline work on a wedge, trying new foods, and using his red button to communicate.

Week Six of "Quarantine"

Our weeks are getting very busy! All of Theo's therapist have finished their online training and are able to do tele-therapy now. It's definitely not the same, but it's good to see and talk to them!

We have a lot of Robin's around here. They are currently looking for a place to nest and they can choose ANYWHERE, but my front door!

[Nesting materials]

[Starting to build a nest]

[Not on my watch!]

Not to worry! The birds found a nice place to nest right outside our family room window. Hopefully we will be able to see some eggs soon!

[Theo likes to rearrange his bumpers]

We haven't been able to go on walks because of rain, snow, and wind. So, we've been going on walks through the house.

[Looking at the backyard]

[Getting ready for tele-therapy]

Theo usually gets upset when his therapist pop up on the computer screen. He wants to see his dad!

Theo doesn't like to do things unless it's his idea. He is very stubborn (which he clearly gets from Josh). Theo gets upset when I try to feed him prunes on his spoon. So, I started putting prunes on Theo's hands (with a little paint brush), and Theo will put his hands in his mouth. He doesn't get super upset when he gets the prunes in his mouth, so we are counting this as a win!

We were supposed to have dinner at Johnnie's in Orlando! UGH! I really wanted some good seafood! Dumb COVID-19!

[I just love him]

[Josh is still working on the Iowa/WI/IL border]

April 15th we got snow, it was my parents 39th wedding anniversary, AND it's Missy's birthday!

I am pretty sure Theo is a "Sensory Seeking" kind of kid.

I've been putting his toys in this black box so he can see them better (he has a visual impairment).

Sometimes he takes the toys out and puts the box on his head. I guess we all need some quiet/non-sensory time.

[We can do this!]

[I got this adorable "Baby Yoda" for Theo's room!]

[April 17th - Spring snow!]

[April 25th - The NBA Playoffs were supposed to stat today! The Lakers were going to take it all this year!]

[Standing up at the couch with his braces on]

[COVID-19/Star Wars mashups are always welcome]

[I don't have a Stormtrooper helmet, but my BFF Katey made me this awesome mask. I feel like a ninja!]

Theo has been on Kate Farms Pediatric Peptide 1.5 formula since April 2nd. We don't have a prescription for it yet, so we are paying for it ourselves. It is SOOO expensive! Theo's nutritionist was able to get us some samples, which helped. She was also contacted by another Dietitian who said one of her kids had some Kate Farms to donate! YAY!

I drove 30 minutes to the lady's house and picked up 14 cases of Kate Farms. Once I got home I realized that these were Kate Farms Peptide 1.5 formula and Theo is on Kate Farms Pediatric Peptide 1.5 formula. UGH! At least I noticed before I gave it to him. Chances are he would have been fine, but I don't want to change his food at all right now. He's gained two pounds since we started Kate Farms and has only thrown up 3 times *knock on wood*

[See the difference?!]

Luckily, I am in a bunch of "Special Needs" Facebook groups and I found another family to donate the formula to. Theo and I drove up to Chicago to deliver the formula to the family in need (we did a "porch drop-off", so we could maintain proper social distancing). It's nice to get out of the house sometimes!

[Theo is 35 lbs and 38.5 inches long!]

[It was a busy week]

[💯]
[I love everything in this picture!]

There was an Instagram (or Facebook?) challenge where you were supposed to post the first picture that you ever took with your spouse/partner. Josh and I started dating in March 2011 and we went to Bryce Canyon together in July 2011. That is the earliest picture I have of us together!

Cute huh?!
