In honor of the NFL Season kicking off we dressed Theo up in Packers and Chargers outfits!

We will let him decided when he's older which team he will root for. I'm sure he will make the right decision!

Theo's First Bath and First Month

How is my baby already one month old?!

On September 8th Theo and I went to the Pediatrician for his one month check up! He weighs 9 lbs 13 oz and is 22 inches long. Considering that three weeks ago he was 7 lbs 13 oz (he lost a little weight after being born) jumping up two pounds on breast milk is pretty great! The Pediatrician did recommend putting Theo on a Vitamin D supplement because most babies that only have breast milk don't get enough Vitamin D from their moms. Other than that he looks great (no more jaundice) and the doctor commented on how strong he is!

We had our first official bath this month (after his umbilical cord fell off).

He wasn't sure at first but after a few minutes he warmed up to it. He did end up pooping in the tub so I guess he was REALLY relaxed!

[Little smile!]

Theo is a great sleeper and eater. Right now he is eating 4 ounces every 3-4 hours and wakes up twice in the night. I breast feed him when I can, but most of the time I pump and feed him. Theo is able to get a good latch but he falls asleep a lot and doesn't seem to be getting enough to satisfy him. We are still working on it, but right now the pump-and-feed system is working well for us. Plus, Josh can get up with him in the night and feed him since I am already up every two to three hours to pump :-)

Theo's Newborn Photos

**PHOTO OVERLOAD!!**

On Tuesday, August 22nd, Theo and I got up early, packed up his diaper bag, and headed out for the day. Our first stop was to see the Pediatrician for Theo's two week check up. Theo is back up to his birth weight and his jaundice is looking a lot better. The only concern (minor) was that his umbilical cord is still attached. The Doctor said that if it stays on past four weeks then they would send him to get some blood work done to see if he has a problem with his immune system. He told me not to worry and that most babies will lose the stump before the four week mark (it ended up falling off a few days later).

After seeing the Pediatrician we headed to Josh's work. We fed Theo before heading to our next appointment: hair and makeup. I hardly ever wear makeup and if I was going to pay a lot for the Newborn Photos then I wanted to make sure I looked my best.

After getting my hair and makeup done we headed to Abigail Joyce Photography's studio to get our photos taken.

Abigail was amazing! She was so patient with Theo. I even brought a few outfits for Theo to wear and she had no problem accommodating us.

When we first arrived Theo was hungry so we fed him and then waited for him to fall asleep. Of course, he was wide awake so Abigail suggested that we start with the "Family Photos" and then do Theo's pictures once he fell asleep (which he ended up doing during the family photos).

[Whisker burn!]

Once Theo was soundly asleep, Abigail put him in different outfits and took his picture. It was so funny to see him dressed up and posed while fast asleep!

I seriously can't get enough of these!

After the photos were done we all drove home. It was a long day, but Theo did great! And thanks to Abigail Joyce Photography for doing such an amazing job!
