Yard Work, Cycling, and Storms

It's been a rainy week, which has been great! We need the rain and it's nice that I don't have to go out and water all the plants twice a day. I did get to check on them and things are bouncing back and blooming!

While we were outside checking on the yard, we found these little guys. We've been seeing a small bunny for a few weeks now, but today we saw three smaller baby bunnies! They are SOOO cute! But they are eating my flowers! What do I do?!

Add "wood" to the list of things my son will eat instead of food:

[He's just so cute though!]

On Wednesday, June 23rd, we went on a "tryke" ride to the park with Theo's PT, so we could try out Theo's new swing. It's a little big, but Theo LOVED it!

That night Theo's iPad died when it hit 30% battery. Considering how much we use it (8+ hours a day) and Theo is obsessed with his music (it's like a safety blanket), we knew we had to buy a new one ASAP. We went on a family outing to Target and bought a brand new iPad! I put all of Theo's music on it after we got home, so it's just as good as the original.

Theo's hair is out of control and I don't want to cut it. But I can't keep it tamed with his baby brush and comb any more. We upgraded to a read brush and comb! I know it't dumb to even mention it, but my Theo is growing up!

Since it was raining most of the week they had PE inside the gym. Theo loved playing with a new ball!

My ankle is still bothering me (it's slowly improving though), so I've been focusing on cycling instead of running. I'm finishing up a 12 part series in Norway and it's been so much fun! The trainer is hilarious and and scenery is breathtaking! I'm excited to explore more places from my basement 🙂

On Saturday, June 26th, we had a Tornado Watch with some severe thunderstorms. It was pretty intense, but we are good!

Theo's favorite thing to do is wrestle with Josh. Theo will go looking for Josh and yell out to him if he can't find him. It's so sweet!

[Theo plays dirty and goes for the beard!]

Happy Father's Day!

Theo had his first full week of ESY and his teachers, therapist, and nurse said he did great!

AANNNDD Colbert is back in front of a live audience! This means things are returning to normal, right?! RIGHT?!

I need this reminder, so I don't freak out when I see some of these guys:

I've been taking care of the plants outside and most of them are looking very perky!

I made this to cover up the wires and boxes. How did I do?

This kid has been shortening his naps and I am NOT happy about it! He will roll over and press his face against the screen and yell for help. He's fine. He can roll over and get away from it. Such a goober!

We got a new dishwasher! YAY!

And I got new cycling shoes! I use to go to cycling classes 6 days a week when we lived in Indiana and I loved it! After we moved to Illinois I bought my own bike and continued cycling in the Raptor. I never knew how awesome snap in cycling shoes were until I got myself a pair! Seriously! A game changer!

Theo and his best buddy at school! The kids love to make him laugh!

Theo has been problem solving more and more and I love it. He knows where to find his toys even if they are hidden from sight.

[Watching "Baby Shark" while sitting with dad]

We have some roses and lilies coming in!

Theo will kick all of his toys to his feet and then get mad that he can't reach them.

Josh is still working hard and we appreciate his long hours and everything he does for us!

[And it doesn't mean that we failed]

[Sometimes Theo doesn't want me to play with his toys]

Sunday, June 20th was Father's Day!

Josh thought it was time to upgrade our 65" TV to a 86" TV. He taped together cardboard so we could see what it would look like. And then he measured the back of the Traverse to make sure it would fit.

[65"]

[It fit! Apparently people at Costco kept congratulating him on the purchase and wishing him a happy Father's Day!]

[I didn't plan on it being such a mess!]

[Theo and I had to hid in our bedroom when things got too loud]

While Josh worked on the TV, I went to Crumbl to get some cookies!

The line was long, BUT I brought a book!

The line moved pretty fast and it only took 25 minutes to get to the front of the line.

When I got home Josh was ready for us to lift the 115 lb TV up onto the wall mount. I'm not gonna lie, it was so heavy and we were both sweating when we were done!

[Theo was a little lost, but he did great!]

There it is! 86"! Just in time for the game!

The next morning I made a Gyro scramble. Happy Father's Day, Josh! You are such a great dada dada to Theo and we love you so much!

I love it when they wrestle!

Later that night we were able to FaceTime with my family.

Some old pictures I found in my scrap books:

We bought my dad an edition of Don Quixote that was published in London in 1824. I think he was very excited about the books! Props to Ryan for the find!

Happy Father's Day, Dad! Thanks for being such a great dad and for working so hard on your "Papa do list" every time you come to visit!
