2025 Neilson Family Reunion in Ohio - Part III

Friday, July 4th:

Happy Independence Day!

There was a party at the Club House, so we spent our day bouncing back and forth between my parents house and the Club House pool area.

The kids decorated their bikes and then we headed to the Club House, so the kids could be in the parade!

My mom made cookie dough! It's her moms recipe and we LOVE it!

Back at the house we set up the slip-n-slide and the kids (plus Luke) had a lot of fun!

Kayleen bought these cute dinosaur eggs. Ty, our dinosaur expert, was more than happy to show us all how to excavate our eggs!

Unfortunately, I got a migraine and went to bed early, but the rest of the family set off fireworks late into the night!

Saturday, July 5th:

We got up early and had professional family photos taken. I'm excited to see them after the photographer edits them!

That afternoon the guys went and saw the new Jurassic Park movie while Missy, Andie, mom, and I took some of the kids to Loveland for shave ice, rock throwing, and tadpole hunting!

That night we went to an "adults only" dinner at Forno Osterio and then I hosted Movie Music Trivia. Tyson won and Josh came in a close second. It was a lot of fun!

Sunday, July 6th:

The next morning we packed up the van and headed home. The drive went much faster and we only had to stop once for lunch.

Thanks again to Luke and Andie for getting Brodee back to Utah!

And thanks to mom and dad for hosting everyone! We had such a fun week!

2025 Neilson Family Reunion in Ohio - Part II

Tuesday, July 1st:

Happy Canada Day! Eh!

[Andie reading to the kids]

[Cole knows how to make Theo laugh!]

[Tyson always brings the BEST food!]

[Ty does NOT like fireworks]

We had a party at my parents house with the family and some neighbor friends!

I picked out the Pikachu firework, so I'm very happy he performed so well!

[Safely inside where it is quiet]

Wednesday, July 2nd:

A big group of us (thanks again to mom for watching Theo) went rafting down the river. We had multiple kayaks and a large raft. The river was VERY full, so we didn't need to paddle much.

[Brodee is going to catch Josh soon!]

We stopped once so the kids could get out and swim in the river. After that Cole just wanted to hang onto the back of the kayaks. We called him the "Barna-Cole" - get it?! Like barnacle?!

Thursday, July 3rd:

We had a very hot, but fun day at King's Island! Thanks to Missy and Tysons season passes we were able to get in 30 minutes early!

[Luke and Ryan were too tall for four rides!]

We went on all the big rides and I think we can all agree that Orion was the best (front row baby!) and Flight of Fear was the WORST!

We got meal passes which were worth it because you were able to get a meal every 90 minutes, a snack every 90 minutes, and drinks every 15 minutes!

We shut down the Park at 10:00 PM and watched the fireworks and drone show as we were leaving. Such a fun day!
