Tribute to Luke

My little brother is entering the Missionary Training Center (MTC) on Wednesday so he can prepare to serve a two year mission for the LDS Church in Billings, Montana.

I'm gonna miss this kid so much but I am so proud of him! Not just because he decided to give up two years of his life to serve the Lord but because of what an amazing guy he has become.

[Luke in 2004... on a cruise]

[Luke in 2006... football stud]

In Luke's mission farewell talk he mentioned how he was happy that we are so close even though there is a large age difference (almost 7 years) between us. He also mentioned that I am an example to him but I want him to know that he is such an amazing example to me. Luke, you are selfless, funny, smart, nice, caring, and all around such a great guy!

[Ryan, Luke, and me in 2007... sibling love]

Luke, I will miss you while you serve but keep in mind that when you get back we are heading straight to Disneyland! With a stop at In-n-Out, of course!

[Luke and me in 2009 at Disneyland]

Good luck brother! Just remember that we love you and we are all cheering for you!

P.S. Happy Birthday!

He is going to do great things! I remember when Jake left he was having some out of this world experiences and I gained such respect for him. They truly grow wiser....way to go Luke! And yes, you are a good example to him...what a fun time for your family!

yeah that first picture threw me off, I thought he looked too young to be serving, unless the church was starting them young. Congrats, I loved that place!!!
