Monday, June 22nd:
Theo and Nurse Stephanie headed off to ESY where Theo had a great day! He did really well in PT and OT and he sorted silver wear.
After school Theo had PT and OT at home.
Tuesday, June 23rd:
Theo headed off to ESY with Nurse Stephanie and they had another great day!
I went and got the oil changed and the ramp serviced on the van, got my allergy shots, and then picked up my new glasses. Hopefully between the glasses and red light therapy, which I start on July14th, I won't get as many migraines. Time will tell!
After ESY we went to The Legacy Ranch for Theo's lessons with Ms. Kaylin. Sherman is injured so Theo did his riding lesson with Ajax.
I am hoping to throw a Fall Festival with the Little Lobbyists and Changing Spaces at The Legacy Ranch, so I walked around and took some picture of the space. It's such a nice property!
Wednesday, June 24th:
After I sent Theo and Nurse Jess to ESY, I headed to LaserAway to get my first Potenza RF Microneedling treatment on my chest, neck, and face. I am hoping that it will help with my fine lines and dark sun spots.
[Before - Sunspots on my jaw and cheek]
[Numbing for 45 minutes]
The treatment was spicy (as the ladies as LaserAway liked to say)! The nurse handed me a stressball and she started with my chest. There were a few times when I jump because it hurt pretty badly. After my chest, she did my neck. It was much less painful. Then she did my face. The only part that was really painful was my upper lip and right under my eyes.
[All done!]
My face was pretty red and sore for a few hours, but then it calmed down.
That night I attended a book club meeting on Zoom. We had read Dr. Jill Biden's new book, View from the East Wing, and so she was our guest at book club. It was so fun to see her and President Biden even popped in for a few seconds to wave at the camera!
Thursday, June 25th:
Today was Theo's last day of ESY. A few days ago Theo had used his eye gaze to tell his class that they should have a "glow party." So, I sent Theo to school with a bunch of glow sticks, so he could share them with his friends at school and they can have a glow party!
The day after my microneedling at LaserAway I broke out super bad on my chin. I followed the post procedure instructions and my skin should be completely healed in a few weeks.
Friday, June 26th:
Theo and Nurse Stephanie hung out at the house while I worked in the basement. That afternoon Ms. Becca came over for PT and then I had a meeting with my business partners and a small business lawyer. We currently have an Operating Agreement, and since the business is going well we started talking about some "What If" scenario's and figured it would be a good idea to get everything in writing 🙂
Weekend:
That weekend I went and saw the new Supergirl movie, which I really enjoyed! Josh, Theo and I also went to the local Vintage Faire and got some Mexican food and dirty sodas. It was nice to get out of the house before the heat wave hit!
[Minooka Creamery 😋]
I have had this porcelain doll for a long time and I have no idea where it came from. I definitely didn't buy it and I've asked a lot of friends and family members if they know where it came from. No one knows. It's not creepy at all... right?
Every few years I get really into soccer, excuse me, football! Right now the mens FIFA World Cup is going on. The USA is doing really well and they have moved on to the knock out round. It's been so fun to see people from other countries come to the USA and discover our gems like Ranch dressing, BBQ, Costco, and Waffle House! I love cheering for the teams with the wildest fans like The Netherlands, Scotland, and Norway! But of course, we are cheering the hardest for the USA and Canada!
I reached out to the ADA Compliance Officer for Midway and O'Hare to ask her how the renovations at Terminal 3 at O'Hare were going. She said they are getting the height adjustable, adult size changing table installed and it will be ready to be used once the terminal reopens. So after these renovations are done there will be two height adjustable, adult size changing tables in the entire airport. Did you know there are 11 Service Animal Relief Areas through out the entire airport? Of course, these are needed, but so are height adjustable, adult size changing tables.
Accessibility has come a long way, but we need to do better.
