Fondue Night!

A few months ago I was working on a big project in northern Utah. Every weekend Josh would come up to visit me which was nice because it gave him a chance to get out of Cedar and a break from studying for the NACE. One weekend we decided to go into Salt Lake City and go to dinner at the Melting Pot. I had been to the Melting Pot a couple of times before but Josh had never had Fondue before so I knew it was going to be a great experience.

Needless to say he LOVED it!

After that we decided that we needed to try homemade Fondue sometime. We went out and bought an electric pot, some swiss cheese (which was made specifically for Fondue), rye bread, beef broth, chicken, steak, chocolate (which was made specifically for Fondue), strawberries, brownies, cookie dough, and cheese cake.

First course:
[Melting the cheese]

[Melted and ready to eat]

Second course:

Third course:
The ONLY problem with the Melting Pot is that they give you too much food so you are stuffed by the time dessert comes around and the dessert is the best part! Josh and I planned it out nicely and broke up our courses so we didn't get too full! Between the second and third course we played Beatles Rock Band and Trivial Pursuit : )

Overall it was a really fun night! Just make sure if you plan on having Fondue that you give yourself a lot of time so you aren't rushed.
