May 23rd:
I've been watering my plants (yep, MY plants) everyday. These rose bushes that I watered twice a day last year, have come back full strength! There are tons of buds that are ready to bloom!
I chose a political party, even though I really didn't want to, so I could vote in the Primaries. I didn't declare a party last time since I only voted in the General. I'm grateful to live in a country where we can vote. Please vote. Not just in the Presidential elections, but in your local elections too. Local representation is important too.
Theo had 11 seizures today and I had to give him his emergency meds due to a cluster.
Tuesday, May 24th, is our 8th wedding anniversary! We celebrated by going out to dinner at Girl and the Goat when my parents were in town. We have been spending a lot of money lately (big vacation coming up, new bike, new washer and dryer, new laundry room, etc.) and I thought we agreed not to do additional gifts, BUT Josh got me a new Apple Watch anyways! Thank you! I love it!
[Theo's feet are continuing to heal]
That afternoon Theo "Crossed the Bridge" and graduated from Preschool! Josh, Theo, and I headed to his school and waited outside along with the other proud parents. While we were waiting, Mrs. DiLorenzo came out and took Theo inside so he could see all of his classmates before the ceremony. She told us later that when she rolled Theo into the classroom all the kids started clapping and were SOOOO excited to see Theo! I just love how they include him as much as possible!
We then headed inside and grabbed our seats.
[The Bridge]
The kids and teachers then came in a paraded around the gym.
[Theo and his aid, Ms. Jess]
The kids then all sat down and the Principal, Dr. Miller, gave a little speech.
They then called up the kids one by one to cross the bridge and get their certificate.
[Mrs. DiLorenzo giving Theo his certificate]
[They are SOOOO sweet with Theo!]
After the ceremony the kids started a dance party in the middle of the gym. Theo's therapists, teachers, and aids came over to say hi to Josh and I. It sounds like a few of them will be helping Theo at his new school next year. YAY! It'll be nice to have a few familiar faces at his new school.
[Class of 2022!]
Theo hasn't been out of the house much in the last month, so he was pretty tired by the end of the ceremony.
Theo will be heading to a multi-needs, all day Kindergarten in the fall. We are going to miss our MPC family SOOOO much. We have been though a lot together (seizures, an ambulance ride, etc) and I can’t even begin to express my gratitude for the love, support, and patience that they’ve shown us. The multi-needs Kindergarten program sounds amazing, the team is excited to work with Theo, and we are looking forward to sending him in the fall!
His teacher made this adorable year book for Theo!
[Graduation photo]
[First day of school picture! Look at those chubby cheeks!]
[Halloween]
[100 days of school]
[St Patrick's Day]
I LOVE how much art they do at school! This wall is usually covered with fun activities that Theo did at school. I hope this continues at his new school!
[First day vs Last day]
On our way home from Theo's preschool graduation, I started getting alerts on my phone about a school shooting in Texas. When we got home we turned on the news and watched in horror as the number of dead continued to rise.
[There were 19 children and two teachers killed]
I cried. I'm still crying. I can't comprehend this. It just hurts so bad and I'm so sad.
Theo had 10 seizures today.
May 25th:
Theo saw his PT, Feeding therapist, and Dietitian today AND it was officially the last day of school (even though Theo hasn't attended in person since before his surgery).
[Theo is scratching his scars 😢]
AFTER his physical therapist left, Theo decided to start army crawling again! Of course, he only does it when he thinks no one is watching. Such a goober!
Theo had 19 seizures today and I had to give him his emergency meds. I sent a message to his Neurologist since I've had to give Theo his emergency meds three times in the last six days.
May 26th:
Josh had a four day weekend coming up and we decided that it would be a great idea for him to go see his family in Wisconsin and Minnesota. He rented a hybrid car and made the long trek north.
Theo and I stayed home and live streamed Star Wars Celebration! The first day was full of fun interviews and reveals!
I so wish I was there!
[Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni!]
[35th anniversary of Star Tours merch! I want that pin SOOO BADLY!]
[High Republic panel]
We watched the entire seven hour stream and I don't regret it for a second! I was also texting with my brothers the whole time! We all agreed that we need to try to attend Celebration in 2024!
[I just love him so much!]
That evening they interviewed Ewan and Hayden for the upcoming Kenobi series. The prequel trilogy got a lot of vocal hate (by the minority) and you could see how appreciative and surprised Hayden was by all the love and support. I think it's great when actors come out to conventions and see all the fans that love and appreciate them!
[Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen]
It was a great first day of Celebration and I can't wait to see what else is coming!
Theo had eight seizures today and I had to give him his emergency med. The Neurology nurse called me to clarify a few things from the message I sent them the other day. She said she would talk to the doctor about my concerns and get back to me tomorrow.
Friday, May 27th:
Friday morning Theo had OT and PT at the same time! I love all these ladies and how they are all able to work together to help Theo.
[Ms. Becca (PT), Ms. Cody (PT), and Ms. Laura (OT)]
Theo and I then watched the first two episodes of the new Kenobi show, which were spectacular! That afternoon we watched Day 2 of Star War Celebration.
[How has it been 20 YEARS since Episode II?!]
[I hope to NEVER use this, but it'll be nice to have it just in case]
I got a call back from the Neurology nurse. She said that they are going to add another mediation to Theo's arsenal. It's strong, so they are starting him on a very low dose. Once I got the alert that Theo's new medication was ready, I threw him in the car and we headed to Walgreens. Right when we pulled into the parking lot I received a phone call from Neurology (it was 6:30 PM). It was the nurse triple checking that she told me the correct dose. She was worried and just wanted to be sure! So sweet!
Theo had seven seizures today and started his new medication.
Saturday, May 28th:
Theo and I spent another day watching Star Wars Celebration!
[Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, and Ashley Eckstein]
I've also been spying on our dove friend. I know she has eggs in there! Where are the babies?!
[Stars of the new Ahsoka TV show! Rosario Dawson and Natasha Liu Bordizzo]
Theo had 10 seizures today.
Sunday, May 29th:
Today was the final day of Star Wars Celebration!
[Billie Lourd and Kelly Marie Tran]
During the closing ceremony the announced that the next Celebration would be in London in 2023! No, I'm not going, but maybe we will get Chicago or Orlando in 2024!

It's a great time to be a Star Wars fan! We are getting tons of new books, comics, and TV shows!
I told my brothers that next year they need to come to my house so we can watch the live stream together and make Star Wars food! I think it sounds like a great time!
While Theo and I were enjoying Star Wars Celebration, Josh was visiting his family in Wisconsin and Minnesota. He was able to see his mom, Joel, Jess, Ally, Braxton, Grandpa Joe, and Grandma Judy while in Superior. He was also able to go out to Minnesota to see his dad and Julie. He said he had a blast and I'm glad he was able to get up there and see everyone.
