Back in September 2011, Josh and I went to Wisconsin for a weekend to see his family. While we were there Josh's dad, George, told us that he wanted to come out to Utah for a visit sometime.
It's a long trip and I wasn't sure if it was ever going to happen but it did!
After a 7 hour drive from Superior to Milwaukee, a 36 hour train ride from Milwaukee to Provo, and a 3 hour drive from Provo to Cedar City, George finally made it.
While he was here he had sushi for the first time, got beat down by his son at pool (yes, Josh is a little pool shark), went to the Hover Dam, saw Vegas, and gambled in Mesquite. What made his trip even more worth it was the fact that we also got to have Brodee for a half a day so George got to meet his grandson for the first time.

Brodee has changed so much since the last time we got him.
He still isn't walking but he can stand by himself and he can walk on his tip-toes if you hold his hands.
[He hasn't really figured out how to laugh yet (it's just a sharp intake of breath), but he sure does love to smile]

It ended up being a quick trip for George, since he only had a week off and he spend most of his time traveling, but we are glad that he came to visit! It's always nice to have family (and friends, of course) come and see us *hint hint* : )

Wow! That is a lot of traveling...but at least he got to see a lot while he was here. Glad it went well and you all had fun!
Oh my gosh that is one cute little boy! The picture of his little Hanes socks made me smile, I love doing laundry with tiny socks in it :)
