Trip to Utah - Jazz Game

Sunday, December 17th:

I spend all day with Luke, Andie, Porter, and Kenna and that night we went to Andie's parents home for family dinner. It was so good to see all the Smith family members! Thanks for letting me join in!

Monday, December 18th:

Luke was working from home and Kenna didn't have Preschool, so the three of us went to Kneaders for breakfast and then to Costco to walk around. We also played board games and did puzzles.

Later that afternoon we went to American Heritage so see where Andie teaches and Porter goes to school. Andie gave us a tour and I was blown away at how beautiful the school was!

Luke and I then headed up to the Delta Center to attend the Jazz vs Nets game!

Since we were sitting in the first few rows we got access to the Toyota Club and we met Santa!

In the Toyota Club you can get all kinds of free food and drinks! We tried a variety and everything was delicious!

[New York Strip and potatoes]

After eating we made our way to our seats in the 6th row!

The game was a blast!

Across the court we could see the owner of the Jazz, Ryan Smith, sitting with his family and the BYU Basketball coach, Mark Pope. Behind them and to the right (in the white hat) is Danny Ainge.

At half time we went back to the Toyota Club to get some dessert and a couple more snacks.

The Jazz won!

Thanks Luke for coming with me! We had a blast and it was a nice opportunity to bust out my Carlos Boozer jersey 🤣🤣

Tuesday, December 19th:

I checked out of my hotel and drove up to American Heritage to say goodbye to Andie. I then headed over to Target to get some cheap headphones. I didn't realize I left mine at home until I was at the airport and I didn't want to spend a ton of money on headphones at Midway. I got some cheap ones and a converter for under $20 at Target, so I call that a win!

I made one final stop at In-n-Out before heading north to the SLC Airport.

This trip was so hard, but I'm glad I went. I needed to say goodbye to my friend Kenny and I needed to be there to support Emily and their kids. It was so good to be able to hug Emily and tell her how much I love her. It was painful to be so far away during Kenny's hospital stay. I wanted to be there to clean Emily's house, restock their fridge, and take the kids too school. But Emily has an amazing tribe of friends in Vegas who did all of those things and more! It gives me peace to know that they are taken care of ❤️

I am also glad I was able to extend my trip so I could see other friends (Lacey, Lisa, and the Smith family) and spend time with Luke, Andie, Porter, and Kenna. Thanks so much for hanging out with me and taking me to all the local food hotspots! I'm planning on going back to Utah in October for a week, so I'll see them all again soon!
