On July 11, 2010, the sun over Easter Island was darkened for a full 4 minutes due to a rare solar eclipse.

I should have gone. I could have been able to check 2 things off my "list".

The next total solar eclipse will happen on November 13, 2012. It will only be visible from Northern Australia and the southern Pacific Ocean. I'm going! Who's with me?

Heck yes! I'm in. That's only like a month before the world's going to end. It could be my last chance.
Joan and I want to go and it will give me a chance to cross of "eating Kangaroo" from my bucket list. Northern Australia may not have kangaroos.
me and nate are in :)
