We left Star Wars Celebration and the Makuhari Messe behind and headed to the Tokyo Disneyland Resort.
We were a little hungry so we stopped at the Ikspiari, which is a large outdoor mall filled with restaurants and Disney shops (like Disney Springs). Even though there were a lot of good options, we couldn't resist the smell of those McDonald fries!
After our snack we jumped on the monorail
We wanted to spend four days and five nights at the Tokyo Disney Resort. Booking Tokyo Disney is quite a challenge. The dates for the parks and hotels only release two months before. BUT if you book a "Vacation Package" the hotel and park tickets are released five months in advance. So if you don't book a "Vacation Package" you run the risk of the hotels being sold out by the time you want to book.
So, I ended up booking a "Vacation Package," BUT that only covered three days and two nights and we wanted four days and five nights. I had to wait until we were only two months out from our trip to book the three other hotel nights and the last Disney Park day. Needless to say it was very nerve racking and I had to be on the computer at midnight fighting with everyone else for the rooms I wanted.
Luckily, I was able to book two nights at the Disneyland Hotel for the rooms that I wanted, BUT I wasn't able to get a room at the new Fantasy Springs Hotel. Now this hotel is SUPER fancy and is located IN DisneySea IN the new Fantasy Springs Land. If you stay at the hotel you have your own entrance to DisneySea and a few other amazing perks (like eight Priority Access ride passes, early park entry, exclusive gifts, etc). There are two sections of the hotel: The Luxury Side which is called the Grand Chateau and the Deluxe Side which is called the Fantasy Chateau. I kept checking multiple times a day over the next few weeks just hoping that a room would open.
In February a couple of rooms opened up, but they were in the Grand Chateau section of the hotel where the rooms ranged from $2200 to $3500 per night! UGH! I kept checking for rooms, talked to our travel agent, and did a bunch of research and in the end I decided that we can always make more money (thanks Josh!). So I booked us a Grand Chateau Alcove Room at the Fantasy Springs Hotel! You only live once, right?! Isn't that what they say?!
We got off the monorail at "Bayside Station" and started walking towards the hotel. We were stopped by someone who had to make sure we had reservations at the hotel before we could get too close. This was another reason I wanted to stay here. Since it's a new hotel they are not allowing visitors. So you can't even walk through the hotel unless you are staying there.

[Main Lobby]
As we entered the hotel there was the main lobby in front of us, a closed white door to the right, and a registration area to the left. We headed to the registration area where I showed someone our reservation. He immediately took us towards the closed white door and said that this was the private entrance to the Grand Chateau!
We were brought into this beautiful waiting room where we met with our personal concierge. They gave us our extra priority passes, our "Happy Passes" (early entry), and we went over how to access this private lobby and our room. We had shipped our bags to the hotel with Yamato from our last hotel and the concierge let us know that our bags had arrived and they would be brought up shortly.
We then walked down this LONG hallway that was full of fancy Disney Princess dresses.
And then we made it to our room!
We had a Alcove room with two beds, a large balcony that overlooked Fantasy Springs Land, 1.5 bathrooms, and a living room. It was perfect! Watch the video until the end with the volume up!

After we checked out the room there was a knock at the door and the Bell Hop arrived with our luggage and then another lady came by with a "Welcome Drink" and treats.
[Cheers!]
After having our drinks and treats we went out to the balcony. We stood out there for a long time just loving the view and waving and doing heart hands at all the people in the Park. It was funny to see how many people wanted to wave at us and how excited they got when we waved back!
After waving at everyone we jumped on the monorail and headed to the MiraCosta Hotel to pickup our "Vacation Package" (which technically starts tomorrow).

We then headed to the Disneyland Hotel (we will stay there too) for a dinner buffet at Sherwood Garden Restaurant.
They had plenty of Japanese and American food options and everything was great!
We then went back to the Fantasy Springs Hotel and walked through the Deluxe Side (Fantasy Chateau). The entire hotel is beautiful!
We got back to our room and found that turn-down service had been performed.

We put Luke in charge of all things Disney, so he went through all our passes and we discussed the plan for tomorrow.

Tomorrow we are going to Tokyo Disneyland!
