Day 21: Monday, April 28th
Before we went to bed last night we talked to the people at the front desk about shipping our bags to our hotel in Hiroshima. They said in the morning, before breakfast, we can talk to someone who can help us with that.
In the morning we packed out large suitcases and our day bags and headed downstairs to talk to the concierge about shipping our bags. Unfortunately, they said that the people who can ship our bags have a desk in the lobby but they aren't open until 10 AM. 10 AM?! We need to go to Universal Studios! We can't wait until 10 AM! Luckily, the front desk people were able to help us and after some gesturing and using our Google Translate we got everything figured out! Phew!
We then went to the breakfast buffet and then walked 2 minutes to the entrance of Universal Studios!
We couldn't get into Super Nintendo World until 9:50 AM, so I went on Flying Dinosaur by myself. Unfortunately, Luke was too tall to ride!
Super Nintendo World!
Since we had the EP7 and EP4 we were able to skip the lines and ride Mario Kart twice, Yoshi's Adventure, and Mine Cart Madness!
Mine Cart Madness was a ton of fun! Can't you tell?!
After Super Nintendo World we got lunch and then went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter for our 12:50 PM entry time.
Luke went on Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey (it makes me sick) while I wandered through the shops!
[I need these for our Harry Potter themed guest room!]
In the afternoon the rain really started to come down. We went back to the hotel, got a snack, and had a quick nap.
I was able to dry our jackets with a blowdryer, so we were all nice and warm when we went back to the park.
One of our favorite rides was Hollywood Dream. This rollercoaster was so much fun! You get to choose your music (we chose Taylor Swift's "Shake if Off" and Pharrell's "Happy") and you can choose to ride forward (Hollywood Dream - The Ride) or backwards (Hollywood Dream - The Ride: Backdrop).
[Got SOAKED on Jurassic Park, but it was a ton of fun!]
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at night is so magical!
Luke was too tall for Flight of the Hippogriff, so I went on it by myself.
We ended the night with Luke going on Despicable Me Minion Mayhem. I didn't want to wait in line and I used my extra express pass for The Flying Dinosaur.
Universal Studios Osaka was tons of fun! We ate so much good food and went on all the rides we wanted to get on! It was so nice that our hotel was just a two minute walk to the park so we could go back and rest while it was raining. Even though the tickets were insanely expensive, it was worth it to get the Express Passes especially since we were there during the busiest week of the year!
