EPIC Neilson Family Trip to Disney World - Part VIII: More Family Arrives & Boggy Creek

On Saturday morning I headed to the airport to pick up Missy, Brady, Dane, and Cole who flew in from Ohio.

["Hey buddy! Hey buddy!" Cole just loves Theo]

A few hours later Josh went to pick up the rental bus from NU Car Rentals (again, seriously, don't rent from them). He then swung by the airport to pick up Brodee, Ryan, Kayleen, Teagan, Cason, and Hayden.

[It's a beast!]

I'm was so excited to see everyone! Especially since the last time we were all together was in Mexico back in December of 2019. And the last time we saw Brodee was in Chicago back in the summer of 2019! I'm so glad he made it!

We were so excited to have almost everyone (just missing Tyson) in one place!

We introduced Theo to the babies and he wasn't sure at first. But then they started talking and he LOVES it when kids talk. He just laughs and laughs!

[Learning how to share his toys]

The boys were so excited for their Star Wars room! They even requested Star Wars to watch as they were going to sleep!

The next morning we jumped in the rental bus and headed to Boggy Creek for our swamp tour.

We arrived early so we had time to look around Boggy Creek before our tour started.

There were alligators in a large cage and the kids found a bunch of gems in the dirt.

[Panning for gems]

At 10:00 AM we all gathered and headed to our airboat!

[Kenna]

The first animal we saw on our swamp tour was a cow! Yes, a herd of cows eating!

We then continued our tour and found a bunch of nice sized gators and some beautiful birds.

[Brodee]

[A big boy!]

[Cason]

According to our tour guide this brown hawk (toward the top of the picture) is called a Snail Kite and they are only found on Lake Tohopekaliga.

[Andie and Porter]

Our tour was a lot of fun and it seems like the kids enjoyed it too!

After our tour Luke bought some gator food and tried to feed the gators. They did not seem too interested!

We then hopped back into the bus and headed back to the rental house to go swimming.

Later that afternoon, Josh, Theo, and I went on a walk to the Club House and pool area. It's very nice and huge! There are multiple pools, a lazy river, a goofy golf course, a bar, a restaurant, and a place that you can rent long boards to use on the river.

It was a very nice and relaxing Sunday, which prepared us for the crazy week ahead!
